The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery, 2nd generation) is the only mainstream smart doorbell that runs Google's on-device machine learning to differentiate between people, packages, animals and vehicles without sending raw video to the cloud. It can be installed wire-free using its rechargeable battery or hardwired into existing doorbell wiring (16–24 VAC) for continuous power, and supports a 1:1 head-to-toe aspect ratio so a small box on the floor is captured in the same frame as a tall visitor at the door.
