Sony WF-1000XM5

The Sony WF-1000XM5 is the fifth generation of Sony's flagship in-ear noise-cancelling earbud and the first to be built around the company's new Integrated Processor V2 paired with the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN2e. Eight microphones — three per earbud feeding the noise-cancelling chain plus two beamforming voice mics — combined with a new 8.4 mm Dynamic Driver X deliver what is widely measured as the most effective in-ear ANC currently shipping. The earbuds are roughly 25 % smaller and 20 % lighter than the WF-1000XM4 and use a new urethane-foam ear-tip compound for a more reliable seal.
