The Audio-Technica AT2020 is the entry-level large-diaphragm side-address cardioid condenser microphone that introduced an entire generation of home-studio musicians and streamers to studio-grade vocal recording. The custom-engineered low-mass diaphragm and tight cardioid pattern reject room reflections better than any equivalently priced microphone, making it forgiving in untreated bedrooms while still being clean and detailed enough for serious vocal, acoustic-guitar and overhead drum work.
