Description
The Sony WH-1000XM5 is the fifth generation of Sony's reference noise-cancelling headphone, and the first complete redesign in the series. Eight microphones — four per ear cup — feed Sony's new QN1 HD noise-cancelling processor and a dedicated V1 integrated processor, enabling a level of ambient suppression that consistently leads independent measurement tests. A new 30 mm carbon-fibre composite driver replaces the older 40 mm unit, trading a sliver of low-end slam for a markedly cleaner midrange.
